This is a sketch from a watercolour I saw in a magazine and whilst I don't usually copy other artists' work I just loved the haughty look in the Gull's eye. Rather than do my own watercolour version I decided to do this drawing on black paper and was pleased with the way it resulted in a totally new version and look. The black paper prompting the pun of the title.
