Just finished a watercolour of Wirral Golf Club (formerly Wirral Ladies). the picture is taken from a sketch I did just before Christmas when we had the heavy frost and snow. It was a beautiful clear day and I ventured across the closed course to do a 10 minute sketch of the view and some photographs to act as an “aide memoire” of the scene. The tree is a well known hazard on the 18th fairway that has spoiled many a golfer’s final hole!
It was a bitterly cold day tho’ and I was pleased to get inside for a well earned hot chocolate!
