We have decided to add a new section on the website for the “memory pictures” I have been doing over the past year or so. In fact ever since I appeared on the BBC programme “Home is where the Art is” I have enjoyed a steady stream of commissions based on the idea of the picture I painted for the clients on the show.
This involves a watercolour of a montage of images of memories closest to the heart of the patron. These have included elements from castles to bridges, Mini Coopers to speedboats and magpies to budgies. They are great fun to do but involve quite a lot of research to establish the right images which I then put together in a single picture which represents the memories and joys the people have had in their lives.
